Briefing of latest IANAGH activities.
By Secretary, Lovely Ellankiyil MSN, RN, CMSRN BC

It is with great pleasure and privilege that I present the briefing of latest activities of Indian American Nurses Association of Greater Houston (IANAGH). The team effort and the unity of all the members is the key to the success of our Association. The great sacrifice of several transformational leaders and their long vision and perseverance had made our association unto this stage. The tireless service of our fore runners is the reason behind the achievements. IANAGH has 450 life members at present. Our goal is to increase the membership and increase the depth and width of our association to accommodate more and more members.

Our mission is to establish harmony among members and to develop members with high morale, educate and prepare them with all good qualities and skills to meet the social and cultural needs.

Nurse’s Day Celebrations:

IANAGH had celebrated “Nurses Day” on May 3rd, 2014 and on May 2nd 2015 respectively with the attendance of over 150 nurses. We had several celebrities and distinguished guests to attend the program, 2015. Activities included educational speeches based on the theme “Ethical Practice and Quality Care”, presentations based on evidence based practices, colorful variety entertainments from nurses as well as nursing students. IANAGH recognized all the new graduates and special award winners during the Nurse’s day celebrations. We have several members who received honors and academic awards for their achievements.
